Congratulations to the Elverado High School for earning the 2011 ISBE Academic Improvement Award. The Academic Improvement Award honors 114 schools across the state that have posted substantial gains in testing. These schools demonstrate that exemplary progress is possible at every level and can be sustained. Elverado High School showed improvement of at least 7.5 points in state test scores in both reading and mathematics between 2010-2011 and/or improvement of at least 15 points in state test scores in both reading and mathematics between 2009-2011. I would like to commend the high school faculty, staff, and administration for all the hard work required to help students demonstrate academic improvement over the last three years.
