Fiber artist Karen Linduska worked with advanced art students to create fantasy garden images. Students used the artists work for inspiration and ideas for their images. The images were created using a layering process starting first with the background and working up. Each layer was composed of different media with combinations of watercolor, acrylic paint, ink, marker, oil pastel, colored pencil, and graphite. Students also used stencils and free form shapes to complete each piece. The completed gardens were used as examples at the Illinois Art Educators state conference Fantasy Garden workshop and shared with state art educators.
